Nasu

Mother Angela Toyoda, Abbess of Nasu (diocese of Saitama – Japan) since 2010, having reached the age of retirement mentioned in ST 40.A of the Constitutions, presented her resignation to the General Chapter 2017. The General Chapter accepted the resignation which became effective on December 31, 2017.

On February 9, 2018, the Community of Nasu elected as abbess, for a six year term, Sister Scholastica Okubo Kaori.
Mother Scholastica was born in 1965 in Tokyo (Japan). She entered Nasu in 2000 and made her solemn profession in 2008. At the time of her election, Mother Scholastica was Novice Mistress of the Community.
