Calvaire

Dom Bède Stockill, Abbot of Calvaire (diocese of Moncton – Canada) since 2002, having reached the age of retirement mentioned in ST 40.A of the Constitutions, presented his resignation to the Abbot General. With the consent of his Council, the Abbot General accepted the resignation which became effective on March 1, 2018.

On April 17, 2018, Dom Clément Charbonneau, Abbot of Mistassini and Father Immediate of Calvaire, appointed Father Innocent Ugyeh, as Superior ad nutum of Calvaire.
Dom Innocent was born in Gboko (Nigeria) in 1966. He entered Illah in 1987, made solemn profession in 1997 and was ordained priest in 1998. He went to Calvaire in 2008 and made stability there in 2017. At the time of his appointment, Dom Innocent was the Novice Master of the Community.
