June 27, 2020: Father Maurus Pei was born in 1935 in Zheng Ding (Hebei, China). He entered Our Lady of Joy Abbey as a child oblate in 1945. Father Maurus remained in mainland China, made his solemn profession in 1985. He re-joined his community in Hong Kong in 1995. Father was 85 years old, had been in monastic vows for 35 years and 37 years a priest when the Lord called him.
