Géronde

Mother Miryam-Monique Frossard, prioress of Géronde (diocese of Sion, Switzerland) since 1991, having reached the age of retirement mentioned in ST 40.A of the Constitutions, presented her resignation to the Abbot General. With the consent of his Council, the Abbot General accepted the resignation.

On March 10, 2021, the Community of Géronde elected as Prioress for unrestricted term, Sister Catherine Masserey.

Mother Catherine was born in 1952 in Sierre (Switzerland). She entered Géronde in 1972 and made her solemn profession in 1978. At the time of her election, she was Novice Mistress.
