Tre Fontane

March 28, 2022: Father Ansgar Christensen was born in 1924 in St. Paul, Minnesota (USA). He entered New Melleray (USA) in 1950, made his solemn profession in 1956 and was ordained a priest in 1957. He transferred to Tre Fontane (Italy) in 1971 where made his stability in 1972. At the time of his death, he was chaplain emeritus of the Community of Valserena where he provided this service for 23 years, the last years only for confessions since he was almost blind and very sick. He was a man of peace and died in the peace of Christ. Father was 97 years old, had been in monastic vows for 69 years and 64 years a priest when the Lord called him.
