Spencer

June 26, 2022: Brother Jerome Collins was born in 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). He entered Our Lady of the Valley in Cumberland in 1949, five months before that monastery burned down and the community built St. Joseph’s Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts. He made his solemn profession as a Lay Brother in 1955. Brother was 97 years old and had been in monastic vows for 70 years when the Lord called him.
