Achel/ Westmalle

May 20, 2023: Father Raymundus Schilling was born in 1926. He entered Achel in 1947, made his solemn profession in 1952 and was ordained a priest in 1955. In 1966, he was sent as chaplain to the Community of the Epiphany Monastery of Eygalières (France). After the closure of the Achel monastery in 2011, the stability of it was transferred to Westmalle. He was 96 years old, had been in monastic vows for 73 years, and 68 years a priest when the Lord called him.
