On December 15th 2023, Dom Plácido Alvarez Castro Quiros completed his fourth mandate as Titular Prior of Los Andes, in the Diocese of Mérida (Venezuela).

On the same date Dom Augustine Myslinski, Abbot of Conyers and Father Immediate of Los Andes, appointed Dom Plácido superior ad nutum of the community.
