Assomption / Echourgnac

January 24, 2025: MotherJean Marie Howe was born in 1927 in Massachusetts (USA). She entered Assomption in 1953 and made her solemn profession in 1959. She was Abbess of the community from 1978 to 1999. In 2024, after the closure of the Assomption community, she changed her stability to the Abbey of Echourgnac in France. Sister was 97 years old and had been in monastic vows for 68 years when the Lord called her.
