Echourgnac / Assomption

June 9, 2025: Mother Alfréda Gaudet was born in 1947 in Collette, Nouveau-Brunswick (Canada). She entered Assomption in 1965 and made her solemn profession in 1971. She was superior ad nutum from 1999 and then, abbess from 2004 to 2022. After the closure of the Assomption community in 2024, she changed her stability to the Echourgnac Abbey in French. She was 78 years old and had been in monastic vows for 56 years when the Lord called her.
