March 16, 2021: Sister Nicolette De Groot was born in 1922 in Scheveningen (The Netherlands). She entered Arnhem in 1950 and made her solemn profession in 1955. She was cofounder and first abbess (1971-1995) of the Abbey of Our Lady of Praise in Butende (Uganda). Sister was 98 years old and had been in monastic vows for 68 years when the Lord called her.
