Bethlehem

August 10, 2022: Father Martin Philip Dowley was born in 1925 in County Waterford (Ireland). He entered Mount Melleray in 1944, made his solemn profession in 1949 and was ordained a priest in 1951. He was sent to Our Lady of Bethlehem in the early days of its foundation in 1948. Father was 96 years old, had been in monastic vows for 75 years and 71 years a priest when the Lord called him.
