El Encuentro

October 20, 2022: Mother María Esther Mares Silva was born in 1958 in México, D.F. (Mexico). She entered El Encuentro in 1993 and made her solemn profession in 1999. She was abbess of the community from 28 January 2020 until 15 October, when her resignation became effective for health reason, which was the cancer that was the cause of her death. She was 64 years old and had been in monastic vows for 26 years when the Lord called her.
