Conyers

April 26, 2023: Father Matthew Torpey was born in 1927 in Jersey City, New Jersey (USA). He entered Gethsemani in 1950, made solemn profession in 1955, and was ordained a priest in 1956. He came to Vina and changed his stability in 1957 and then to Conyers in 1967. He was 95 years old, had been in monastic vows for 70 years, and 67 years a priest when the Lord called him.
