Huerta

November 08, 2023: Dom Severino Alonso Alonso was born in 1936 in Folgoso Rivera, León (Spain). He entered Santa María de Huerta in 1949, made his solemn profession in 1958 and was ordained a priest in 1962. He was abbot of Huerta from 1983 to 1995. Father was 87 years old, had been in monastic vows for 68 years and 61 years a priest when the Lord called him.
