January 18, 2024: Sister Maria Rafael Iwakura Mituko was born in 1928 in Niigata (Japan). She entered Nishinomiya in 1956 and made her solemn profession in 1964. She had been one of the foundresses of Miyako in 1981, and went to Ajimu with the community in 2001. Sister was 95 years old and had been in monastic vows for 64 years when the Lord called her.
