April 16, 2024: Sister Maria Assunta Royakkers was born in 1933 in Molenbeersel, Limbourg (Belgium). She was perpetually professed in the Congregation of the Passionist Sisters of St. Paul of the Cross before entering Chimay in 1988, and made her solemn profession in 1991. Sister was 91 years old and had been in monastic vows for 36 years when the Lord called her.
