Origine
Founded by the US Region 31 August 1972; raised to the rank of priory 20 May 1982 and to the rank of abbey 29 October 1990.
Histoire
The foundation was prepared and accepted by the U.S. regional conference, the Amercian monasteries undertaking to supply money and personnel. A group of monks gathered at Ava to get to know each other and develop a community life.
1972, May: the founders arrive in the Philippines. They move into the temporary monstery on 31 August.
1973, 13 December: The foundation is officially inaugurated in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio Mgr. Rocco Carmine and of several bishops.
